Understanding Your Pain
Your knee is the largest joint in your body and one of the most complex. It bears your entire body weight with every step, jump, and squat. Pain can arise from the joint surfaces (arthritis), ligaments (sprains and tears), menisci (cartilage tears), tendons (tendonitis), or the kneecap (patellofemoral pain).
At Physio Expert Dubai, we don’t just label your pain — we find the root cause. Whether it’s a biomechanical issue at the foot or hip overloading your knee, or a direct injury, we create a plan that addresses the source, not just the symptom.

FAQ
Yes, the vast majority of knee conditions — including moderate arthritis, meniscus tears, and ligament sprains — can be successfully managed with physiotherapy alone. Surgery is generally reserved for cases where conservative treatment has been exhausted or there is significant mechanical locking.
Mild conditions like tendonitis may improve within 4-6 weeks. More significant issues like ligament injuries or arthritis may require 8-12 weeks of consistent therapy. Post-surgical rehab follows structured protocols lasting 3-6 months or more.
Bracing can be helpful for certain conditions — such as providing support after ligament injury or unloading an arthritic compartment. However, braces are not a long-term solution. We’ll advise whether bracing is appropriate for your specific condition and for how long.
The right exercises depend entirely on your diagnosis. Generally, strengthening the quadriceps, hamstrings, and gluteal muscles forms the foundation. We design a personalized program based on your assessment findings and goals — never follow generic advice without professional guidance.
Absolutely. Many knee problems originate from poor biomechanics above (weak hips) or below (flat feet, poor footwear). That’s why our assessment examines your entire lower limb chain, not just the knee in isolation.
