FAQ
Not at all. While pregnancy and postpartum care are important parts of women’s health physiotherapy, we treat women at all stages of life — including those experiencing pelvic pain, incontinence, menopause-related issues, pelvic organ prolapse, or any musculoskeletal condition that affects women specifically.
We always prioritize your comfort and consent. Many treatments are external, focusing on exercises, manual therapy, and education. If an internal pelvic floor assessment is recommended, it will be fully explained, and you have complete control — it’s only performed with your informed consent and can be declined at any time.
You can start gentle postnatal physiotherapy as early as a few days after delivery, focusing on breathing, gentle core activation, and pelvic floor exercises. A formal postnatal assessment is typically recommended around 6 weeks postpartum, after your doctor’s check-up.
Yes, absolutely. Pelvic floor physiotherapy is one of the most effective treatments for stress urinary incontinence and urge incontinence. Through targeted exercises, bladder training, and lifestyle modifications, many women experience significant improvement or complete resolution of symptoms.
No referral is required. You can book an appointment directly. However, if you have relevant medical reports or a referral from your gynecologist, please bring them along for a more comprehensive assessment.
